Description
A Fine 19th Century Carved & Panelled Walnut Over Mantel. The four recessed panels each containing narratives with two Renaissance style figures dressed in armour stood beneath a turreted canopy. The central muntin guarded by a bearded figure in sword and orb stood within a niche. The flanking muntins ornamented with decoratively carved split baluster appliqués. The side pilaster surmounted by scrolled capitals above pendant garlands of flowers and foliage. 30½” (77.5 cm) high, 58” (147.5 cm) wide, 58” (13 cm) deep.
