Description
A Fine 17th Century Credence Table of good rich colour & patination. The twelve sided planked top folding over on rule hinges above a canted cupboard with a central door flanked by pairs of side panels. Each panel carved with a lozenge of foliate strapwork enriched with punchwork embellishments; the uprights adorned with split spindle appliqués. The turned egg knopped legs leading down to a planked base shelf with applied edge moulding, original turned feet and a swing out gate to the rear supporting the top, 30¼ in (74 cm) high, 37 in (94 cm) wide, 17¾ in (45 cm) deep.
