Carved in the round with a bearded king, wearing a red cushioned crown with gold crossbands, a long red cloak draped in deep folds over armour cuirass, with a gilded sash tied around the plackart; and pauldrons and sabotons to his hosen legs. The figure holding a sword and shield emblazoned with a heraldic eagle with outspread wings. 45” (114 cm) high.
