The high back with a deep cresting rail carved with voluted S-scrolls and foliate designs enriched with punchwork and incorporating scaly leaves rising from the coiled lobe terminals above S-scroll spandrels. The back panel having a moulded lozenge motif with incised details and carved fluttering pennants to the corners stamped with quatrefoil embellishments. Standing on turned legs united by stretchers, 47½ in (121 cm) high, 24 in (61 cm) wide.
