A Napoleon III Bronze Jewellery Casket in the Louis XV Style. The rectangular box intricately cast with flowers and scrollwork retaining traces of silvering and inset with finely painted oval plaques depicting a pair of miniature portrait to the front, and bouquets of flowers to the hinged lid, back & sides. The interior lined in padded silk (perished), 3¾” (9.5 cm) high, 5½” (14 cm) wide, 3½” (9 cm) deep.
