A Late 17th/Early 18th Century Joined Oak Wainscot Chair. The top rail carved with a pair of horizontal stalks bearing a whorl to one end and flowerhead to the other, defined against a pitted ground above a twin panel back branded with conjoined initials JM to the central muntin. The arms on baluster posts above similarly turned legs united by well worn multi-baluster turned front rails and plain stretchers to the rear and sides, 39 ins (99 cm) high, 21½ ins (54 cm) wide, 21 ins (53 cm) deep.
