Description
An Early 17th Century Continental Standing Oak Cupboard, possibly French (A/F). The top overhanging a row of dentil moulding above centrally placed upper and lower twin-panel doors flanked by panelled sides. The panels enriched with simple linen-fold carving and geometric designs of moulded diamonds within triangular corner pieces. The doors fitted with embossed sheet iron escutcheons and hung on replaced cock-head hinges. The piece raised on block feet 63½” (161 cm) high, 41” (104 cm) wide, 16½” (42 cm) deep.
