A 17th Century Joined Oak Desk Box, Circa 1680. The sloped lid with moulded edge on iron strap hinges, opening to reveal an open till to the back. The front board carved with two rectangular panels of demi-lune flower heads displayed against a pitted ground within decorative borders, flanking an iron hasp & lockplate above a further half daisy wheel motif. The sides with recessed lozenge bands. The base with applied moulding, 12 in (30 cm) high, 26 in (66 cm) wide, 16 in (40 cm) deep.
