Description
A Large 19th Century Memorial Pendant of oval form (A/F). Enamelled with two female figures in landscape flanking an urn on a stained ivory clad pedestal with gilt wire adornments and a domed canopy encrusted with seed pearls (the inlay & mounts loose): one figure strumming a lute, the other laying a wreath of roses, framed in a rich blue champlevé enamel border inset with a chain of tiny gilt leaves and lozenges. The back encasing a platted knot of brunette hair on a blond background, overlaid with an intricate fretted rose gold monogram, within a fine enamelled border. 2¾” x 2¼” (7 cm x 5.5 cm).
