Description
A Chinese Chippendale Period Two-Tiered Stand with traces of residual gesso & gilding (A/F). The rectangular top frame having a stepped rebate to the inner edge for a marble insert, and a moulded border above an intricately pierced chinoiserie trellis frieze. The tall quadripartite legs each composed of four square uprights united by pierced ornamental blocks with ball finials and bearing a galleried under-shelf with concaved sides, below pierced corner brackets, 43½” (110.5 cm) high, 30” (76 cm) wide, 19¾” (50 cm) deep.
