The side panels enriched with portrait medallions surrounded by entwined foliate scrolls. The frieze housing a centre drawer carved with cherubic caryatids bearing a banner dated 1538, raised on turned ball & reel knopped baluster front supports and a triple panel back of linen fold carving leading down to a plinth base, 63½ in (161 cm) high, 37½ in (95 cm) wide, 19¾ in (50 cm) deep.
