The diagonally grained quarter veneered top with cross-banded border edged in gilt moulding, above a brushing slide with leather insert and two doors with shaped panels of inlaid interlaced trellis bands, edged in gilt bronze moulding with foliate embellishments to the corners and a satyr’s face mask escutcheon to the integrated centre pilaster. The sweeping sides mounted with satyr heads and leading down to foliate crested lion paw feet, 42½ in (108 cm) high, 50 in (127 cm) wide, 20½ in (52 cm) deep.
