A Large 19th Century Bronze Patinated Sheet Metal Lantern embossed with Renaissance style ornamentation. The stepped circular top decorated with flowers, fruit and foliage, surmounted by a suspension ring above two tiers of pierced vents. The glazed ten sided lantern embossed with scrolling husk flowers and face masks to the upper & lower bands, with profiled face portraits to the uprights, incorporating a twin-pane door to access the candle socket within. Approx 32” (81 cm) overall length, 16” (41 cm) width.
