Description
An 18th Century German Bronze Twelve Branch Chandelier. The knopped central stem surmounted by a silhouette cut twin-headed eagle enriched with incised details and looped onto a hook ended suspension rod. The twelve candle branches cast in the form of scrolling serpents and set in two graduated tiers of six attached to discoid knops by rectangular tenons numbered with a series of dots, slotting into corresponding mortice holes, above a globe pendant with hanging ring, 46” (117 cm) in length [including suspension rod], 24” (62 cm) wide.
