The figure depicted with book and martyr’s palm, emitting rays of metallic stumpwork with a gold embroidered halo around his tonsured head, standing in an arch of elaborate scrolling strap-work appliqué, 16½” x 7½” (42 cm x 19 cm). Set in a moulded modern frame behind UV protected non-reflective glass, 23” x 14” (58.5 cm x 35.5 cm) [Deaccessioned from the Virginia Museum (Richmond, VA, USA).
