An Impressive 19th Century Marquetry Centre Table/Bureau Plat in the Louis XV Style. The serpentine top inlaid with lavish scrolls of foliage and cornucopia spilling flowers displayed against a diagonally grained quarter-veneered rosewood ground framed by banded borders outlined in stringing. The sweeping apron marquetried with sprays of flowers and housing two drawers to one side with corresponding dummy drawers to the other furnished with cast Rococo style handles and escutcheons. The square tapering cabriole legs adorned with scrolling mounts and sabots to the feet, 31½” (80 cm) high, 51” (132 cm) wide, 31½” (80 cm) deep.
