A Fine 19th Century French Ormolu Clock Garniture Set in the Louis XV Style. The movement stamped Hy Marc Paris and numbered 29204. The gilt dial inset with porcelain numeral cartouches encircling a relief cast centre depicting a bacchanalian cherub beneath a trellis arch of vine. The lively scrolling Rococo style case festooned in garlands of fruiting vine and surmounted by a bacchanalian cherub, with another reclining to the base alongside a playful goat, 16½” (42 cm) in height. The candelabra cast in the form of cherubs; each holding aloft a cornucopia issuing four swirling foliate candle branches, 20½” (52 cm) high.
