A Small Collection of 18th/19th Century Medical Related Boxwood Items: A good, well patinated 19th century boxwood bottle case stamped ‘S Maw & Son’, of typical cylindrical form having straight sides, a screw-off top with moulded shoulders and tapering screw-off upper section revealing a tapered inner core for a medicine beaker/measure, the underside of the base marked in ink ”8oz 25/-” 6? in (16.2 cm) high, 3 in (7.7 cm) diameter. A small bottle case with screw-off lid containing original clear glass bottle and stopper, the underside of concave bottle base moulded 1 OZ, 4 in (10 cm) in height. A late 19th century container with screw-off lid stamped ”S Maw, Son & Thompson Trade Mark London”, the interior with a cylindrical centre containing a small glass measure graduated in ‘drops’, the glass beaker missing, 3¼ in (8.3 cm) in height. An unusually small bottle case of standard shaped with screw-off lid stamped ”Gilbertson & Sons London”, 2? in (7.2 cm) tall. A rare double measure of unusually small size, unmarked but probably size 1S, with a turned double disc knop between the two opposing cups, 2? in (6.1 cm) high.
