Description
A 19th Century French Walnut Extending Dining Table. The two section top having stepped edging with foliate carved frieze moulding and quatrefoil patera carved to breakfront corner blocks. Standing on spiral turned legs above foliate carved balusters on turned feet united by a moulded centre stretcher surmounted by a boldly turned urn finial, connected by curved end stretchers. The top parting in the centre and pulling out to accommodate four extension leaves secured by brass clips, with pairs of turned legs hinged to the underside dropping down to support each end, 30” (76 cm) high, 57” (145 cm) wide, 39” (100 cm) extending to 130” (330 cm) in length.
