Description
A 19th Century Renaissance Revival Oak Box incorporating some 16th century elements. The moulded rectangular lid inset with a relief carved panel depicting The Adoration of The Magi. The faced having a recessed panel relief carved with The Nativity and flanked by scroll topped caryatids to the pilasters. The box’s sides enriched with fluted urns cascading scrolls of husk flowers. Standing on bun feet 12 in (30.5 cm) high, 13 in (33 cm) wide, 11 in (28 cm) deep.
