A Good Set of Eight Late 18th/Early 19th Century Ash, Elm & Fruitwood Comb Back Windsor Dining Chairs and a matching Armchair attributed to the Thames Valley. Each side chair having a scroll-crested top rail above four long spindles and side slats flanking a central shaped splat, with two further splayed spindles to the back leading down to a wedge shaped projection from the rear of the seat. The elm seats incised with a border line and raised on turned ash legs united by H-form stretchers. The armchair having a tall back with long shaped centre splat flanked by six spindles and side slats, 42½ in (108 cm) high.
