Description
A Fabulous Late Elizabethan Carved Oak Three Tier Buffet of rich colour & patination. The top with reeded moulding above a carved frieze accommodating a long drawer enriched with foliate S-scrolls, and flanked by facetted pyramidal appliqués to the sides. The bulbous cup & cover posts enhanced with foliate carving to the cups & gadrooning to the covers with a fillet of jewel-work in-between beneath a scrolled capital. The mid tier with moulded edge and gadrooned frieze drawer above further bulbous post leading down to a base shelf on square block feet, 46½” (118 cm) high, 52” (132 cm) wide, 20” (51 cm) deep.
