The rectangular box ornamented with gilded chinoiserie flowers and pagodas on a dark brown ground and mounted with decoratively pierced silvered metal corner brackets and escutcheon, opening to reveal a gold speckled interior fitted with a lift-out partitioned tray lined in dark green velvet. The ebonsied stand with elegant turned legs. The box 4¼ in (10.5 cm) high, 14½ in (37 cm) wide, 8 in (20 cm) deep. The overall height 30¼ in (77 cm).
