A 20th Century church banner centred by a stumpwork lamb of God worked in metallic silver thread amidst gold sequined rays appliquéd with a crimson velvet flag emblazoned Agnus Dei and adorned with sprays of lilies to the corners on an ‘old gold’ coloured brocade edged with braid and tassels to the trefoiled base 31½” x 21½” (80 cm x 55 cm). And an altar cloth appliquéd with radiant initials IHS worked in gold metallic thread enriched with sequins on an ivory brocade backing edged with yellow braid, 12” x 26¾” (31 cm x 68 cm).
