The sloped lid incised with a decorative compass work roundel to the centre bordered by zigzag bands interspersed with punched dots and having chip carved ends and gouge carved initials EG. The front board carved with twin foliate S-scrolls displayed against a recessed ground painted black, with red and black paintwork enhancing the lunette carved end boards. Historical repairs. 10 in (25.5 cm) high, 21¾ in (55 cm) wide, 16½ in (42 cm) deep.
