An Early 19th Century Yew & Boxwood Octagonal Work Box. The apexed lid composed of triangular burr figured panels edged in ebony stringing opening to reveal a turquoise moire silk lined interior with a lift out paper-clad tray. The boxwood sides with ring handles on ornately cast gilt brass mounts, 7½ in (19 cm) high, 11 in (28 cm) wide.
