Description
.A 17th Century Oak Wainscot Chair. The shaped cresting rail carved with initials WU and date 1617 to the centre flanked by sprays of foliage beneath a pair S-scrolls; the voluted ends forming lobe terminals above shaped ‘ear-pieces’. The panel back carved with a lozenge motif. The down-swept arms on turned posts above baluster legs united by peripheral stretchers, 42” (107 cm) high, 23” (58 cm) wide.
