A Large 17th Century Flemish Oil on Canvas, In the Manner of Frans Snyders (1579-1657) and Cornelis de Vos (1585-1651): Painting of a soldier embracing a young woman alongside a market stall, with vendor wearing a feathered cap stood behind the counter laden in fish, a bundle of asparagus, cabbage, artichokes and game, a tin pale to one side and copper pans and skimmer to the other. 56” x 73¼” (142 cm x 186 cm). Set in a decorative 19th century gilt frame embellished with trailing vines, flowers and Rococo scrolls, 66” x 83” (168 cm x 211 cm).
