A Late 17th/Early 18th Century English Bell Metal Mortar composed from an inverted bell set into a turned treen base. The bell’s interior having the maker’s mark of a dabchick and the initials W.C. for William Cor of Aldbourne (active 1696-1722). The fruitwood base decorated with ring turning and having a fine colour and patination, 6” (15 cm) in height.
