An Early 17th Century Italian Liturgical Pax Brede or Osculatorium. The small carved wooden ‘Kiss of peace’ board depicting Christ crucified in a niche below a scrolled pediment carved with a bird. (wooden handle missing). 5¼” (13 cm) high, 3¾” (9.5 cm) wide, 1” (2.5 cm) thick.
