Description
An 18th Century Vincennes Porcelain Lidded Tureen on Stand with Sifting Ladle. The small lobed oval tureen having a domed lid surmounted by a gilded interlinked twisted branch-form handle enriched with gilding and decorated with delicate bouquets of flowers and birds in cartouches on a rich bleu lapis ground with gilded embellishments, 4¾” (12 cm) high, 5½” x 4¼” (14.5 cm x 10.5 cm). The lobed oval dish base with similar decoration; both having Sèvres blue crossed ‘L’s mark around ‘A’ and impressed D.V. The ladle/spoon having a round pierced bowl decorated with sprigs of flowers to the interior and a bleu lapis exterior, 7 (18.5 cm) in length.
