A Large Bretby Painted Terracotta Figure of an Alpine Boy, circa 1910, sat on a 19th Century Welsh Carved Oak Back-Stool monogramed and dated 1893. The boy depicted playing a recorder, wearing a wide brimmed hat, fur jerkin and breeches with a satchel embellished with coins slung over his shoulder, marked `Bretby’ with model number 877 on base. 31½” (80 cm) high.
