Description
A 19th Century Turned Treen Tobacco Jar or Container of exotic, richly patinated timber, possibly Hawaiian Koa Wood. The lid surmounted by an acorn finial. The bulbous jar having an everted rim and turned ring handles threaded through protuberant pegs either side, standing on a round pedestal foot, 8½” (21.5 cm) in height, 6¼” (16 cm) in width.
