Description
A 17th Century Joined Oak Child’s High Chair. The shaped cresting rail richly carved with foliate scrolls & beads embellished with punchwork and having voluted lobe terminals crested with small leaves. The rail projecting out either side of the channel moulded uprights framing a gouge carved back panel with a central quatrefoil motif in a lozenge and foliate corners. The shaped, silhouette cut plank arms leading down to ball turned supports above similarly turned legs united by two rails to the front & sides, and a single stretcher to the rear, 44” (112 cm) high, 22” (56 cm) seat height, 16” (46 cm) wide.
