Four 19th Century Treen Knitting Sheathes: A rustic ash Teesdale goose-wing sheaf gouge carved with M+AW to the top of the blade and having chip carved bands and crosses decorating the rectangular section stem, 9¾” (25 cm) in length. Another goose-wing sheaf made of fruitwood having a turned stem with brass bound top and metal lined needle hole, 9½” (24 cm) in length. Two turned spindle sheaves; one fruitwood 7¼” (18.5 cm) in length, the other possible Dutch of turned sycamore, 5½” (14 cm) in length.
