The low panel back carved with a portrait roundel depicting the profile of a bearded man’s head flanked by sprays of flowers & foliage within moulded chip-carved borders below a nulled top rail. The seat re-upholstered in a floral woven tapestry fabric edged with velvet, and raised on barley-twist legs united by a similarly turned high front stretcher and H-form under-stretcher, terminating on ball feet, 35½” (90 cm) high, 20” (51 cm) seat height, 22” (56 cm) width.
