A Decorative Silvered Metal Mantel Clock. The movement striking a bell,stamped on backplate BENNETT 65 & 64 CHEAPSIDE LONDON and numbered 1330 2771. The 4¾” (12 cm) wide face engraved with scrolling foliage and incorporating a chapter ring of engraved Roman numerals. The rectangular case with foliate cast edge moulding to the top above fluted frieze, arch topped glazed door panel with bevelled edge and cast foliate spandrels, on a decorative breakfront plinth with toupee feet, 12½” (32 cm) high, 9” (23 cm) wide, 7” (18 cm) deep.
