Description
A Fine 17th Century Stumpwork Embroidery worked with a variety of elaborate stitchwork in coloured silks and metallic threads embellished with tiny beads, depicting the figural presentations of Faith, Hope and Charity stood beneath a fruit tree with birds harbouring amongst the branches, contained within an oval looped ribbon garland with subsidiary figures, animals and scenery adorning the corners, 11” x 15” (28 cm x 38 cm). Set in a moulded gilt frame 17” x 21” (43 cm x 53 cm).
