A Fabulous 19th Century Scottish Root Wood Mauchline Ware Table Snuff. The flat hinged oval lid depicting a scene from Rabbie Burn’s poem ”Tam O’Shanter” with Tam on the left hand side and in the centre Nannie standing in her cutty sark (short dress) above inscription ”Weel done, Cutty sark”. The sides profusely decorated with thistles on a gnarly burr figured base, 2 (7 cm) high, 6” x 5” (15 cm x 13 cm).
