A Late 18th Century French Provincial Carved Oak Buffet à deux-corps wedding piece. The glazed upper section surmounted by a swept cornice with egg & dart moulding above carved trailing garlands of flowers and foliage. The frieze centred by a relief carved basket of flowers & fruit heading a broad central muntin, flanked by glass paneled doors with scrolling edge moulding, long fretted brass cocks-head escutcheons and shelves within. The base section having moulded scrolling panel doors on finialed rod hinges, raised on voluted scroll feet, 96 in (244 cm) high, 53 in (135 cm) wide, 19¾ in (50 cm) deep.
