A Fine 17th Century Style Carved Walnut Armchair in the manner of Daniel Marot. The tall back having a twinned S-scroll cresting rail surmounted by a central plume of foliage above a decoratively pierced central splat flanked by scrolling side splats. The turned uprights enriched with foliate carved cup turning and surmounted by finials. The outswept arms adorned with sprays of acanthus and rosette roundels to the terminals, resting on S-scroll supports leading down to a floral woolwork seat. The four S-scroll legs united by a wavy X-form stretcher with central urn finial, and terminating on turned feet, 50¾ in (129 cm) high, 28 in (71 cm) wide.
