A Large Late 17th/ Early 18th Century Joined Oak Coffer, possibly American, with blind fret-carved decoration. The four panelled lid above a triple panel front ornamented with an undulating trail of leaves & tulips along the frieze rail, urns of tulips to the muntins & stiles, geometric quatrefoil roundels and tulips head to the moulded cruciform panels; the designs silhouetted against recessed & stained backgrounds. Standing on stile supports 27¼ in (69 cm) high, 55½ in (141 cm) wide, 23¼ in (59 cm) deep.
