A Fine Quality 18th Century, 22 Bore Flintlock Duelling Pistol Circa 1780, by Ferdinand Morawek of Krumau (Court Gun-maker to Duke Joseph Schwarzenburg from 1792 until his death). The octagonal steel barrel with inset foresight, embellished with three gilt fircones and a trotting horse to the breech. The lockplate signed Fer. Morawek in Krumau. The full walnut stock carved with foliate decoration and having a crosshatched grip inset with a small oval cartouche initialled A.W. Overall length 15¾ in (40 cm).
