A Fine William & Mary Oak High-backed Side Chair. The tall caned D-ended back panel flanked by turned tapering uprights and surmounted by a fine pierced cresting rails of scrolling strap-work. The replacement seat padded and covered in chequer-work fabric. The legs having inverted cup knops above out-swept braganza feet united by a turned H-form stretcher and decorative open carved front rail, 52¾” (134 cm) high, 18” (46 cm) wide.
