Four Framed Flemish Samplers: One worked in red thread on a linen ground with alphabet in a glazed frame 11¾ in x 14 in (30 cm x 35.5 cm). Two worked in red wool on an open-weave mesh with alphabet and numbers; one Antwerp dated 1903, 11½ in x 13¾ in (28.5 cm x 35 cm). The other by Stephania Hennes of Santhoven dated 1894, 12½ in x 18 in (32 cm x 46 cm). The fourth worked in coloured wools with alphabet, numbers, IHS initials, birds, flowering plants and motifs, dated 1874, 22½ in x 29¾ in (57 cm x 30 cm).
