A Large Early 18th Century North European Dug Out Treen Tankard with sgrafitto decoration and remains of residual polychrome paintwork. The tapered sides incised with two frieze bands depicting two figures: one carrying a pannier on his back; the other with foliate branches on his shoulders, above a stylised angel and animals, 6¾” (17 cm) in height, 7” (18 cm) wide.
