Description
Two Small Early 18th Century Spanish Polychromed and Giltwood Carvings: One of Saint Paul depicted barefoot with long beard holding a sword, wearing a draped gilt tunic and flowing cloak; his bi-coloured hose and cloak lining enriched with gilt embellishments, 13¾” (35 cm) in height. The other of a monk, possibly Anthony of Padua depicted tonsured wearing a hooded tunic hanging full length in pleats, standing on a marblised canted rectangular base, 12¼” (31 cm) in height.
