A Collection of Wooden Fragment Carvings: A pair of late 17th century Flemish oak furniture corbels carved as a male & female face mask, 5¼ in (13.5 cm) high, 3½ in (9 cm) wide, 2½ in (6.5 cm) deep. A pair of acanthus scroll corbels 5½ in (14 cm) high, 4¼ in (11 cm) wide, 2 in (5 cm) deep. A pair of drawer front panels with cup handles carved in the form of beast-heads issuing scrolls of acanthus either side, 3½ in x 13¾ in (9 cm x 35 cm). A curved component carved with a protuberant cherub’s head 6½ in x 3 in (16.5 cm x 8 cm). A small relief carving of a figure in flowing robes 6 in (15 cm) high. And a plaque carved as a winged eagle rising from flames 14 ins x 13 in (36 cm x 33 cm).
