The shaped rectangular ember receptacle with hinged lid, decorated with relief cast flowers, rococo scrolls, foliage and trelliswork, raised on swept bracket feet and fitted with a swing handle centred by a turned wooden grip. 5” (13 cm) high [handle down], 9½” (24 cm) wide, 6½” (17 cm) deep.
