Description
A 19th Century Turned Wooden Sewing Box enriched with carving. The round lid emblazoned with a cross-hatched quatrefoil roundel to the centre and radial fluting to the border, lifting off to reveal a buttoned pin cushion to the underside. The box housing bobbins with thread dispensers piercing the sides along the base, decorated with bands of chip carving, 3½” (9 cm) high,. 5¼” (13 cm) in diameter.
